FINALLY! The time has come to release the Race loop for the 2017 PBM HARDROCK 6HR MOUNTAIN BIKE RACE!

Held in the incredible Kiwarrak Mountain Bike Park just outside of Taree NSW, the PBM HARDROCK 6HR is in it's second year, and it's shaping up to be bigger than last time for sure!

Those of you who've been to the Tip Trails before will know that there are 60kms of primo hand-cut trails to ride, and it's this choice of trails that has made it super-hard for the course designers to choose just which trails to use.

But true to form, lead designers Dean Brame and Bruce Pain have pulled a rabbit out of their hats. This track is BANGIN!

For starters, Brucie wanted to make sure that the start of the loop has racers plunging down at warp factor nine, before threading through some of the park's best known trails.

And Deano was ultra-keen to ensure that all racers, be they pros, regular racers, weekend warriors or first-timers, are able to negotiate the trails safely and even more importantly, with the BIGGEST DAMN GRIN ON THEIR FACES!

There's definitely three sections to the course:

Section 1: Flowing down and getting loose. We start in the event centre and ride the rollercoaster down Yowie and across into the dark recesses of D'Vine. Then a short climb and back into fast flowing stuff right over to the Western side of the park. We take in Sweet As, with the Christmas Baubles to look at, and then Chuckles. Connect with To Moab, and we've ended the first section.

Section 2: Mountain section: Now we get our climb on as we take on Chad's Root. It's up a heap, then back down and over to The Widowmaker. This year we're going UP The Widowmaker, and that's a beast. But don't worry, there's also a B-line option here. Across the road to The Whip and climbing up one last time.

Section 3: Finish with the Flow: From here it's onto Entree and The Box, some of the most fun trails we have in the park. It's swoopy through The Box and then a quick climb gets us back on the highway into the Event Centre.

The Race loop is just on 9.5km long with about 160m of climbing. Super fun, super fast! We're sure you'll agree that it's one terrific loop, and it wouldn't be so good without the work of our tireless trail builders and maintainers. On behalf of the Tippies, we'd like to thank them for all their work.

So, wonder no more. The trail is released. Here is a blow-by-blow of the trail names in sequence so you can start imagining your flow right from the comfort of your chair and below that is the Trailforks map for you to enjoy:
